Oh my gosh, it's the last day of this challenge! Kinda makes me sad that it's over. However, I do have TONS of more ideas for cards, so make sure to stay tuned!!
For this final card, I wanted to point out that there are so many household items that you can use in your crafting. Today I'm using regular household bleach. Whaaatt?!! Bleach?? Yes - BLEACH lol.
There's a few things that I do want to point out when using bleach though …
1. Make sure to work in a well ventilated area
2. Wear gloves when putting the bleach on the paper towels
3. Immediately wash your stamps after using the bleach
Here are the products I'm using today (minus the bleach & paper towels) …
I took a couple of paper towels, folded them up and poured a little bleach on them. You just need enough to saturate the paper towel. Then, I placed them on a stamp case. You can use anything to put this on … a coffee can lid, a shallow bowl, etc. You just want to make sure to protect your work surface and avoid any leaking of the bleach …
I used the bleach/paper towels as a stamp pad and pressed the large flower stamp onto it. Then I stamped it onto the Shaded Spruce cardstock. I repeated that 2 more times, stamping randomly on the cardstock …
After just a few moments, you can see the color begin to change. Immediately wash your stamp with warm water and a little hand soap. If you leave the bleach on, it will ruin your stamp …
I set that aside to dry and stamped the sentiment on the So Saffron piece of cardstock with Shaded Spruce ink …
I added adhesive to the back, then attached it to the piece of Mint Macaron cardstock …
I added adhesive to the back of the bleached Shaded Spruce cardstock, then attached it to the So Saffron cardstock …
I added adhesive to the back of that, then attached it to the Mint Macaron card base (look how awesome the bleached color changed!)…
I added dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and attached it to the card front …
The completed card …
I love the way it turned out! I'm eager to try this with other colors to see how they change. If you'd like to create this card, here is the list of products that I used. You can purchase them all on my shopping website … DawnBowman.StampinUp.net
