#30DayCardChallenge - Day 10

It’s Day 10 of this card challenge!!

A card with no stamps?!! Whaaattt?!!
Yes, that’s what I have for you today! I’m only using Cardstock and dies! The Dies Set 'Well Written' is perfect to make a card with no stamps. It has so many great words and shapes!
Here's what I'm using today (everything will be listed at the end of the post) …
I'm starting off with a piece of Whisper white Cardstock, Balmy Blue Ink, Garden Green Ink and Sponge Daubers. Using daubers, I added the ink to the paper by softly rubbing the ink on. You want to apply gentle pressure and add a little ink at a time until you get the desired effect. For this card, I'm trying to make a grass and sky background …
I set that aside and began working with my Big Shot and Dies. Unfortunately, Stampin' Up! no longer sells the Big Shot but is currently working on a new machine. If you don't have a Big Shot, you can use any die machine that will work with the dies.
I put a scrap of Garden Green on the Big Shot base plate and ran it through with the stems die. I did that 3 times …
Then using scraps of various colors, I cut out 3 flowers in each color. Today I used Pineapple Punch, Highland Heather and Petal Pink. I also used a scrap of Melon Mambo and cut out the 'Miss you' sentiment …
When working with very small of intricate dies, I use this tool from Stampin' Up! wo help release the cardstock from the die. It also helps poke out any tiny holes ...
Now that everything is cut, it's time for assembly. For these small cut outs, I find it easiest to use the Fine Tip Glue Pen. You can use any liquid adhesive you have, just be careful to use very little so it doesn't leak around the cuts …
I trimmed a little off the bottom of the stems so they weren't so tall, and attached them in place first ...
Then I began attaching the flowers. I was going to use the Fine Tip Glue Pen, but decided to use a glue dot on each flower. However, I realized that the centers were open and the glue dot was
showing
So I grabbed a package of Pearl Basic Jewels and added one to each of the centers. What a cute difference that made! I used my pick tool to pick up the pearls and attach (this made it so much easier!) …
Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, I attached the cut out sentiment (somewhere along the line I lost the dot for the 'i'!) …
Then I added adhesive to the back and attached it to the Garden Green Cardstock; then attached that to the Pineapple Punch cardbase …
And the card is finished!! There are a lot of different words and shaped you can use to make a card with this Die Set. I would love to see what you come up with!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Leave a comment, send me a message or shoot me an email if you have any questions. If you'd like to purchase any of the items I've used today, you can find them all on my shopping website by clicking HERE
