#30DayCardChallenge - Day 9

Hello, Hello Crafters!!
Today is Day 9 of this challenge, and I have a card ready to share with you.
Have I told you how much I love the Stampin' Up! colors, and how easy they are to coordinate with each other? I love that I don't have to wonder what ink matches what paper! Stampin' Up! takes the guesswork out of it for you!
Today I'm using the colors Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick and Basic Black. They look amazing together!!
Here are the products I'm using today (all items, including measurements, will be listed at the end of this post) …
I'm starting off with the small pice of Whisper White cardstock and Pineapple Punch Ink. I inked up the stamp, then stamped off onto my paper workspace. (Stamping off makes the color lighter when you stamp onto the cardstock) Then I stamped onto the cardstock, in the center toward the top …
Using the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamped the flower …
Now on to coloring! I started with the Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends Marker, and colored a small portion of the bottom of the flower. You want to use gentle strokes with the markers, because they do tend to bleed a little. While the marker is still wet, I used the Light Lovely Lipstick to color in the rest of the flower. Start at the dark to blend the 2 colors together and draw the ink towards the top of the flower. This avoids stroke marks and makes the colors blend together ...
Repeat for the other two flowers, working on one flower at a time and starting with the dark color …
Using Lovely Lipstick Ink, I added the sentiment in the center, towards the bottom …
Now it's time to put it all together! Add adhesive to the back, and attach to the small Basic Black Cardstock, Add adhesive to that and attach to the Pineapple Punch Cardstock. Then attach that to the Basic Black Card Base …
Since I'm using Basic Black as the card base, I added a piece of Whisper White to the inside …
Here's the completed card …
Pretty simple, right? I'm not a huge fan of coloring. but I really love using the Blends! It makes it so easy to add just a little bit of ink and spread it around. And using the two colors to blend, gives it such a natural shading.
