30 Days of Thanks - Day 9

Here's my card for today ...

I have to admit, this card took a lot of thought, trial and error lol! I grabbed this stamp set, knowing that I wanted to use it in this challenge. I really like that scripty Thank You. This stamp set has a coordinating punch to punch out the ice cream and cone. My plan was to punch the ice cream out of different colors of DSP. However, after searching my craft room high and low, I could not find it! I know I had it and I have no idea what happened to it!
So now I had to figure out plan B ... I stamped the ice cream onto a post it note, making sure the sticky side was behind the image. Then I cut it out by hand and used it as a mask. I placed the stamped post it where I wanted the ice cream, and stamped the cone over it. This prevents the top of the cone from stamping. Then I removed the post it, inked up the ice cream stamp and lined it up best I could with the cone and stamped. I hope this makes sense!

Once I figured that part out, the rest was easy lol! I used the stamp set Sweet Ice Cream and the colors Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Cinnamon Cider and Basic Black ...

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. And if you'd like to create this card for yourself, you can purchase all of these supplies on my shopping website - just click the Stampin' Up! Tab at the top of this page.

xoxo
