#30DayCardChallenge - Day 5

I know I’m a little late, but the holiday threw me off a little lol
For Day 5 of this challenge, I decided to use up some of my retired Designer Series Paper to make a bunch of cards. You can use absolutely any DSP for this card.
One of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up! is the ability to easily coordinate products. When you choose a color, or color combination, there are so many products available in that color! I remember the days before I joined Stampin’ Up! how I would stand in the isle of my local craft store trying to match Cardstock and DSP and ribbon. Ugggh what a headache it was! Now it’s SO easy šŸ˜
Here are the products I’m using for today’s card (All supplies, including measurements, will be listed at the end) ...
The colors I'm using today are Calypso Coral and Old Olive. I'm also using
Whisper White cardstock and Silver Edged Ribbon.
I absolutely love this Silver Edged Ribbon!! You can use it as is (White), or you can color it any coordinating color you need! I'm using Old Olive Stampin' Blends Marker to color the ribbon today.
I cut a piece of ribbon long enough to wrap across the front of the
card, then used the Stampin' Blends marker to color it.
It was so easy and it didn't take
very long to dry.
Once the ribbon was dry, I used regular household clear tape
to secure to the back. Make sure you hold the ribbon
firmly, but not too tight that the paper buckles.
I colored another piece of ribbon and tied it in a bow.
then I trimmed the ends to make it the length I wanted.
I took the Calypso Coral card base and folded it in half,
then attached the card front to it.
I put a Glue Dot on the back of the bow, and
attached it to the card front.
You can stop there, and it would be a very pretty card. Or you can stamp a sentiment inside, or leave it blank to write a note. But I decided to add a sentiment to the front …
I really like the sentiments on the Stamp Set 'Love What You Do', so I
decided to use it. I'm also using scraps of Old Olive and
Whisper White Cardstock, and stamping in Old Olive.
After stamping the sentiment on Whisper White, I attached it to the Old Olive
cardstock, then used Dimensionals to attach it to the card front.
Here's a couple of different sentiments I stamped
and attached to the front.
Well there you have Day #5! I'm sorry that it's a little late, and I'll be posting Day #6 later today.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me! Leave a comment below, send me a message or email me.
