Spring Cleaning Schedule


It's the beginning of May and that means it's time for Spring Cleaning (if you haven't done it already lol)

Here's a possible spring cleaning schedule to be tackled by room:


**Bedroom:**

  • Wash all bedding, including sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and comforters.
  • Vacuum and flip mattresses.
  • Dust all surfaces, including dressers, nightstands, door frames, baseboards, ceiling corners, and window sills.
  • Clean and disinfect all doorknobs, light switches, and handles
  • Organize closet and drawers, donate or discard items you no longer need or wear.
  • Wash mirrors and windows.
  • Vacuum & clean carpet or sweep and mop the floor.


**Bathroom:**

  • Scrub the shower, bathtub, and sink.
  • Clean the toilet thoroughly.
  • Wash the shower curtain and liner.
  • Clean mirrors and windows.
  • Clean and disinfect all doorknobs, light switches, and handles
  • Dust all surfaces, including shelves and cabinets, door frames, baseboards and ceiling corners
  • Organize drawers and cabinets, discard expired or unused products.
  • Sweep or vacuum and mop the floor.


**Living Room:**

  • Dust all surfaces, including tables, shelves, mantels, picture frames, ceiling corners, and baseboards
  • Vacuum or wash couch cushions/pillows
  • Vacuum and wash carpets and area rugs.
  • Clean windows and mirrors.
  • Clean and disinfect all doorknobs, light switches, and handles
  • Organize bookshelves, discard unwanted books or magazines.
  • Sweep or vacuum and mop the floor.


**Kitchen:**

  • Clean the oven, stove, and microwave.
  • Clean the refrigerator, inside and out.
  • Scrub the sink and countertops.
  • Wipe down cabinets and drawers, remove any expired or unused items.
  • Clean small appliances, such as toasters and coffee makers.
  • Clean and disinfect all doorknobs, light switches, and handles
  • Clean mirrors and windows.
  • Sweep or vacuum and mop the floor.


**Dining Room:**

  • Dust all surfaces, including the table and chairs.
  • Vacuum or sweep and mop the floor.
  • Clean any glassware or dishes on display.
  • Clean and disinfect all doorknobs, light switches, and handles
  • Clean mirrors and windows.
  • Organize any cabinets or shelves, discard any unwanted or unused items. 


**Outdoor**

  • Clean outdoor spaces, including patios, decks, and porches
  • Wash outdoor furniture
  • Plant flowers or vegetables in the garden
  • Sweep and tidy the garage or storage area
